Lab Diamonds
The Diamond Standard
Lab Grown. Identical. Certified.
The same crystal structure, the same fire, the same independent grading — grown in a lab instead of pulled from the earth.

What Is a Lab-Grown Diamond?
A lab-grown diamond is a real diamond. Not a simulant, not cubic zirconia, not moissanite — a diamond with the same carbon crystal structure, the same optical properties, and the same hardness as any stone pulled from the earth.
The difference is origin. Instead of forming over billions of years underground, a lab-grown diamond is created in a controlled environment in a matter of weeks. The result is chemically, physically, and visually identical to a mined stone. Even trained gemologists cannot tell the difference without specialized equipment.
Every Diamondaire diamond ships with an independent IGI certificate confirming its cut, color, clarity, and carat weight — the same grading standards applied to mined diamonds worldwide.

How They're Made
HPHT (High Pressure, High Temperature) Replicates the conditions deep within the earth. A small diamond seed is placed in a press with carbon material, then subjected to extreme heat (around 1,500°C) and pressure. The carbon crystallizes around the seed, atom by atom, forming a rough diamond over several weeks.
CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition) A diamond seed is placed inside a sealed chamber filled with carbon-rich gas. The gas is heated until it breaks down, and carbon atoms rain onto the seed, building the diamond layer by layer. CVD allows for precise control of the growing conditions and produces exceptionally clean stones.
Both methods yield genuine diamonds. The method used does not affect the quality, durability, or brilliance of the finished stone.
The 4Cs Still Apply
Every lab-grown diamond is graded on the same four criteria as a mined stone: cut, color, clarity, and carat weight. These determine how your diamond looks on your hand, how it catches the light, and how it's priced.
